1.LG Network Monitors Integrated with NComputing's X550 solutions for maximum convenience
Virtual desktop ready monitors
NComputing is the largest provider of virtual desktops in the world. LG is one of the world’s leading monitor companies. Together, we have developed a new solution that integrates NComputing’s virtual desktop technology with the LG monitors.
How it works
The solution is based on a simple fact: today’s computers are so powerful that the vast majority of applications use only a small fraction of the computer’s capacity. NComputing enables a single PC to be virtualized so that many users can tap the unused capacity and share it as if each person had their own computer.
The LG / NComputing solution has two parts: LG Network Monitors and NComputing X550 Integration Kits. Each Integration Kit supports 5 additional users on a shared PC, and with two kits, eleven users can share a single PC. Best of all, you can set it up in minutes. First, install the X550 PCI card into the shared PC and load the vSpace software. Second, connect the LG Network Monitors to the PCI card. Users connect their keyboards and mice directly to the LG Network Monitor, which delivers a full computing experience.
2.NComputing bags deal from ESIC(Employee State Insurance Corporation) and Wipro for 'Project Panchdeep' a GoI(Govt. of India) project
NComputing, a desktop virtualization company has won a contract from Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Wipro for 'Project Panchdeep', one of the largest e-governance projects in India. The project will aim to streamline insurance and healthcare services that ESIC provides to employers, employees and state and central government workers.
This strategic initiative includes the computerization of 144 hospitals, 620 medical insurance branches, 1388 dispensaries or clinics, and 51 regional offices across the nation.
NComputing's L130 thin clients will be deployed for the Panchdeep project, and over 31,000 L130s will be connected to Wipro's desktop PCs operating on Windows OS, which will then connect to the cloud computing environment in India at ESIC datacentres.
3.NIIT partners with NComputing for ICT Education in Schools Joint initiative to offer low cost computing for schools throughout India
NIIT, Asia’s No. 1 trainer and leading Global Talent Development Corporation today announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance with US based NComputing, Inc., the leading provider of virtual PC solutions, to enable thousands of schools across India to bring affordable computer education to its students.
The alliance will help reduce the cost of computing in schools by 50% from current levels, thus enabling schools across India’s cities, towns and villages to offer computer education to its students at a fraction of the cost.
NIIT, which offers computer and computer aided education to 1.5 million students across over 5,000 schools, will bring its expertise and reach in schools while NComputing will offer its breakthrough technology, through this joint initiative. The partnership aims to promote NComputing’s shared computing solution to the Indian Kindergarten to 12th standard (K-12) education system, thus enabling a multi-fold increase in PC-based education in government and private schools, across the country.
4.Andhra Pradesh Government Selects NComputing to Provide 18 Lakh School children With Computing Access.NComputing already provided 5,000 government schools and 100 private schools in Andhra Pradesh
The Andhra Pradesh government has been very forward thinking in recognizing the importance of computer education to the future of the state
The Andhra Pradesh government created a transparent bid process with a tender evaluation committee to select the best technologies and the qualified educational IT companies. Over a dozen companies submitted proposals for various regions of the state. The winning bidders, which incorporated NComputing's shared-computing solution to help secure the deal, included NIIT, ECIL, Educomp, Everonn, IEG, Terasoft, and Social Computers.
The Andhra Pradesh programme is based on an innovative outsourcing model developed by the Andhra Pradesh government. The model is referred to as Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) and requires outsourcers to install, staff, and manage the labs for a five-year term. This arrangement helps ensure that the labs are installed quickly and strict performance benchmarks are met. The five-year period also enables school staff to develop their own skills in managing the labs and honing computer-aided teaching capabilities.NComputing's low-cost and eco-friendly solution establishes the Andhra Pradesh government as an innovator in educational computing and a model for other governments considering similar projects.
5.MKCL(Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited) deals with NComputing for installation of systems in its 1000 adult learning centers
NComputing recently completed the installation of 10,000 of its thin-client systems at 1,000 adult learning centers in partnership with the Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL).
MKCL needed computer learning centers with work stations that could replace traditional PCs. They found our technology very cost-effective, and that they could buy five times the number of workstations with the same amount of money. And also these private public partnership education centers are run by individuals, entrepreneurs and business men. The software and training procedure is all defined by MKCL. In order to be successful, they needed some cost-effective technology, and they believe that low cost shouldn't be for the purpose of the devices but it should be used for the ongoing operations. They realized that shared computing was the best way to low down on the electricity. Phase-1 is already completed with 11 workstations deployed, each in 1,000 schools just 35-40 days before.
